Turin city Colorproject | Turin -I
Teamwork with Arch. Brino, Tagliasacchi, Zanetta, JeImini.

Elaborated for the Regulator Plan of Color of the commune of Turin: historic center. The historic denotation of color for this house was grey. It has been selected a dark grey, like the stone of the portal, for the lower part of the façade, a clearer and warmer grey for the upper one. The leanings elements were painted with a grey brighter and warmer, as illuminated by sun, the frame of the windows with a grey even clearer and brighter, further cleared for windows themselves. The house seems illuminated by sun even if it is not.

“In the case of historical buildings ,an eventual new floor could be built and be coloured with halved contrasts in respect of the original building,so to appear more light ,and influece the less as possible the historic parts in their proportions and let the more recent part present itself in a way not to disrupt the harmony of the whole.”
